Where else would you get a chance to swim from the mainland to a beautiful island followed by a cycle around the island with views of the Blaskets and the Skelligs. Then finish your race with a run towards the slate quarries overlooking Valentia lighthouse. The views here are literally breath-taking, almost enough to distract you from the effort.
