The bridge is love: far from his homeland, Dvořák heard of the death of his childhood sweetheart and poured his heart and soul into a Cello Concerto that burns with sorrow, tenderness and beauty. The fabulous Pablo Ferrandez joins forces with Domingo Hindoyan in a concert that begins under the summer skies of Smetana’s joyous Czech comedy and ends in heroic style with the mighty final symphony by Dvořák’s greatest musical friend – Johannes Brahms.
