We will hold our third “Faith Practice Day” (Shingyo-e) at the temple on Sunday 6th August. This time, our special focus will be Shodai: Chanting the Odaimoku, which is our primary practice as Nichiren Shu Buddhists.
We hold Faith-Practice Days at the temple quarterly, to bring the whole congregation together to learn and practise the teachings of Nichiren Shonin and the Lotus Sutra. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience practice as a community - to practise and chant together, to share lunch together, to discuss the Dharma and our lives together and connect face-to-face.
The day will run from 10:30am - 5:00pm. Activities will include a lecture, chanting practice, meditation, and a Hoza (Dharma-circle) Discussion.
We will also share a potluck lunch together (outside if the weather is good!). We hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you.
In order to help with planning, please contact the temple to register.
