East Texas Drag March.

As you know, Texas has passed the Anti Drag Bill also known as Senate Bill 12 that will be signed into law by Texas Governor Gregg Abbott sometime this week. Going into effect September 1st 2023. This will affect Drag performers through the State of Texas. Affecting Pride events, Brunches, Shows, Readings and etc., that someone under the age of 18 could be at. Meaning in 2024 we unfortunately will not be allowed to perform at Pride. This means that we will be at risk for a fine of up to $10,000 and a Class A Misdemeanor. Due to this, we feel it's necessary that our voice and our vision be heard. I know it will be hot, but it will not take long! Please stand with us. March and Chant with us as we march from Heritage Plaza to the Courthouse lawn in protest of this law. THE TIME IS NOW to take action. In the meantime, you can contact your State Governors office and flood him with calls and tell him how this is wrong and unconstitutional! 512-463-2000 is the office switchboard of Gregg Abbot Texas Governor. Office Hours are 8am-5pm. Please make signs shirts any swag you can think of. This is going to be a PEACEFUL protest so please do not act out of character because that will just shed more light on us. Please mark that you are going if you are able to go. After we can all go to RMC Longview at 203 S High St. for refreshments. We will meet starting at 3:30pm and kick of the march at 4PM. Please feel free to INVITE ANYONE AND EVERYONE!
