Saturday 12 November, 6-7pm
Head to Canterbury and watch as the city begins to sparkle!
Route:
Westgate Towers
Canterbury High Street
Rose Lane
Rose Square (Finish)
The light parade, organised by Canterbury BID and sponsored by Miles and Barr, will be led by lanterns created by local children and the team at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Live music will be provided by Robbie White (at the Westgate Towers) and No Limits Street Band (within the parade).
Wave at the Lord Mayor, the Marlowe Theatre panto cast of Sleeping Beauty, and a whole array of special Christmas Characters, as they make their way up the high street.
There will be an extra special guest following the parade as we welcome a giant Father Christmas!
At Rose Square, the parade will be met by KMFM Breakfast presenters Garry and Chelsea who will officially launch Christmas!
And, as an extra special Christmas treat, Canterbury City Council is offering FREE Park and Ride for the day!
Don't forget, while you are in town, to pop along to the fantastic Christmas Market which will be open from 10am with some stalls staying open until 7pm in St Georges Street and Whitefriars.
