- **Event Description**: Join us for the Hutchinson River Restoration Project's Thomas Pell Canoe Cleanup!About this EventThis event, organized by Hutchinson River Restoration Project in partnership with Pelham Bay Park and the NYC Parks Rangers, offers a unique canoe-based cleanup experience within the sanctuary.Participants will have the opportunity to help remove trash and debris from the Hutchinson River while exploring one of the area’s important natural habitats by canoe. The canoe group will travel upriver to the sanctuary and Goose Island to collect litter along the shoreline and marsh areas, with boats departing from the launch site at 9:00 AM.For those who prefer to stay on land, the launch site itself will also serve as a cleanup area, allowing volunteers of all comfort levels to participate and make a meaningful impact.The cleanup will conclude around 1:00 PM, though late arrivals are welcome. Join us in helping preserve the beauty of our local wildlife sanctuary, protect the Hutchinson River ecosystem, and make a positive impact on the environment and surrounding community.We will be providing: sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks, and everything needed for trash collection.​Please double-check the number of tickets in your order before checking out. Each person needs to have their own ticket so we can have an accurate headcount.Buying a ticket means you agree to the waiver. Please complete waiver prior to event. Note: Every attendee must fill out waiver.
