Images of Pride


You are invited to attend the 2021 Art of Pride – Images of Pride art opening!

This is a live, in-person, on-site exhibition of the works of LGBTQ artists and their allies celebrating a photography exhibition of 47 years of San Diego Pride. Submit your original photos of Pride events from 1975 to 2021. This is a free event hosted by Art of Pride and San Diego Pride. There will be a cash prize of $100!

Exhibition Opening: Friday, September 17th, 6:00-8:00pm. Free to all. Light refreshments served.

Exhibition Dates: The Images of Pride Exhibition will be on display from September 17th through October 31st during normal business hours.

Registration is not required and attendance is free of charge. Donations will be accepted at the door or online and 100% of your donation will support Art of Pride’s year-round programs.


American Sign Language interpretation services can be arranged for this event with at least one week of advance notice. We will provide reserved seating for those who use ASL interpreters and those with accessibility needs in the first row. The venue is accessible to all mobility devices. San Diego Pride is excited to provide a variety of options for people to come together in ways that feel comfortable, healthy, and safe. We ask each individual to review the guidelines and setting for this event in order to assess their own comfortability with attendance.

San Diego Pride is requiring proof of full vaccination at the door for this event. You will be asked to show your Vaccination Card along with identification before entering the building. “Full Vaccination” requires at least 2 weeks to have passed since your final vaccination shot (or sole vaccination shot for Johnson & Johnson.)

Out of respect for body autonomy and an understanding of the reasons folks may not be vaccinated, San Diego Pride will also accept a Negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours prior to the event. Masks will be required regardless of vaccination status while indoors. Disposable masks will be available at the door.

We encourage everyone to sign up for CA Notify as an added layer of protection for themselves and the community to receive alerts when you have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19.
