2nd Annual What's New in St. Pete Science?

Come enjoy a night of scientific exploration!

Local researchers will set up booths with interactive activities and live demonstrations. This is an opportunity for you adults to learn about all the stuff kids get to enjoy at the St. Petersburg Science Festival 2019 that weekend (Saturday, 19 October 2019).

Come and go as you please anytime between 7-9p to learn more about the numerous research groups across St. Pete.

Gulf of Mexico Coastal Ocean Observing System - GCOOS - information for your daily life. GCOOS provides on-demand oceanographic and meteorological information for the Gulf of Mexico. The products we serve have NOAA’s stamp of approval.

St. Petersburg College STEM Center at Bay Pines and ROVs (underwater robots) - St. Petersburg College's new Bay Pines STEM Center is a hands-on science learning complex adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway in Pinellas County.

The University of South Florida College of Marine Science Breitbart Lab - Our lab looks at bacteria, viruses, and DNA in the marine environment. At this booth, fish for an egg filled with DNA, then decode that DNA to to find out which fish species it belongs to.
