Lane Britnell is a local activist, educator, and consultant within the cannabis industry. Lane was one of the founding partners for the Sakatchewan Compassion Club, Saskatoon's first medical cannabis dispensary. His love of gardening was born out of necessity, as he learned to cultivate medical cannabis to successfully treat his crohn’s disease. Lane’s calls cannabis the “gateway drug to horticulture” and hopes that 4-plant home growers will be inspired to start growing their own food, and that large scale cannabis production will pave the way for more responsible and innovative solutions for more conventional food crops.

Lane offers clients his experience and industry savvy, including trend spotting. Facilitating an insurgence of true craft cannabis and cultivating a passion for a new kind of regenerative agriculture feels like the most meaningful work Lane can do. With his own family’s roots in Saskatchewan farming, he feels lucky to be a steward for the plant that helped his own quality of life so much. Lane is honoured help usher cannabis – and cannabis entrepreneurs – into a new era.
