About this Event

Peekskill is one of New York's best-kept secrets and one of the oldest societies in America, dating back to the 1600s. Peekskill is home to an artist community, vintage bookstores, festivals, live music, and a huge foodie culture. We are as eclectic as we are diverse in food, culture, and history. We will visit bars, bakeries, dessert parlors, and cafes, as well as artist lofts, street art, boutiques, and bookstores. We want you to taste and experience what makes Peekskill great while exposing you to over 500+ years of US and NY history. Your tour includes a combination of 10-15 food and non-food indoor and outdoor stops. Participants will enjoy bite-sized food, desserts, coffee, and alcoholic beverages, varying between Latino, Carib, Asian, Southern, and American culture. All food and drinks are included. Food samples and stops can vary and are chosen each weekend based on what is happening downtown, so come hungry and ready to explore! More than just food and drinks, you will learn about Peekskill's rich history spanning 500 years through random, fun, and surprising facts! This will be a 2-mile walk with minimal seating or tables on uneven pavement. The tour starts at 11:30 am and ends at 1:30 pm. The tour is rain or shine and is great for solo travelers, corporate groups, and private groups, so come with comfy shoes, ID, an empty tummy, ready to mingle, and we'll do the rest.
