Distance: 7 miles or 12 miles.
Speed: 2.5 mph.
Things to note:
- Expecting rooty and rocky terrain in the woods (clifftop Long Path).
- The trails connecting the clifftop and riverside (Dyckman Hill Trail) are steep with 350ft decline and 270ft elevation gain (Carpenter's Grove to Fort Lee Historic Park)
Make sure you wear proper shoes and use trekking poles per your own preference. PLEASE do consider your own capability to determine if this hike really suit you.
Optional short cut version of 7 miles : Take the Carpenter’s Trail down the cliff (steep with 320ft decline), and wait for 12 miles walkers at the Rose Dock Picnic Area
