Co-Design Workshop #1 - RECETAS Project - Tue 5 July
About this Event
Walking along the Yarra, growing food or flowers, birdwatching at the Botanic Gardens, exercising together in a park… What if these activities could help fight loneliness and improve wellbeing?
The RECETAS Project (Melbourne) warmly invites you join our first Stakeholder Workshop.
Hosted by the research team (RMIT) with project partner Many Coloured Sky, this Workshop will bring together people from the community sector, government, health, arts and academia to contribute to a research project about Nature-Based Social Prescribing (NBSP).
Workshop participants will...
- Learn about the RECETAS Project
- Hear from Many Coloured Sky about their work with LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and refugees
- Share knowledge about social prescribing, nature experiences, loneliness and wellbeing
- Brainstorm options for low-cost nature-based social activities in Melbourne
- Kickstart a co-design process to inform the next stage of the research project
Workshop guests will be invited to brainstorm ideas for low-cost, nature-based social activities and local sites that could appeal to our study participants. Together we’ll generate a “longlist” of options to inform the pilot study: inspired by this longlist, peer facilitators at Many Coloured Sky will co-design a “menu” of nature-based group activities for our research participants to choose from. Workshop outcomes will be shared with attendees.
