About this Event

Learn the magic of drawing with colored pencils using Prismacolor or comparable colored pencils. Learn to match, blend & layer colors to create a drawing of your own choice. One of best attributes of colored pencils is the beautiful color mixes that are limitless and give your work that special sparkle. We will explore the unique and cool techniques that only apply to colored pencils! Then we will spend time doing small artworks that use those techniques. Colored pencils are great for sketching while traveling or to use to explore color options for a subject matter before you paint.

Bring to Class: Bring a set of 24 Prismacolor pencils (do not get the Scholar Prismacolor), a Strathmore “Colored Pencil” sketchbook 9”x12”; or a regular spiral bound sketchbook. If you are a continuing student bring the colored pencils that you use. Also bring a regular pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener.
