Join us this fall for a magical journey down the Yellow Brick Road in The Wizard of Oz – Youth Edition, a joyful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale presented by Page to Stage, the youth theatre company of the Williamsburg School for the Arts & Innovation. This one-hour production features a talented cast of local students ages 8–14, with youth also contributing behind the scenes in costume design, set creation, stage crew, and tech roles. It’s a true celebration of student creativity and collaboration.
Follow Dorothy, Toto, and their unforgettable friends, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, on their quest to reach the Emerald City. Along the way, they face flying monkeys, enchanted forests, and powerful witches, discovering that the answers they seek were within them all along. With iconic songs and characters from the classic MGM film, this adaptation is a heartwarming experience for the whole family.
Fun fact: The Wizard of Oz film made its local screen debut in November 1939, right in this very building. Now, 86 years later, a new generation of young artists brings the magic of Oz to life on stage at the Kimball Theatre.
