About this Event
Join us for a magical evening at Sunol as we explore the world of bats—nature’s nighttime insect controllers! We’ll debunk common myths, learn fun facts, and watch these incredible mammals take flight at sunset as they begin their nightly hunt.
We'll gather in front of the Visitor Center at 7:00 PM. If you’d like to arrive early, you’re welcome to enjoy a picnic dinner or snack at the nearby tables before program starts.
Please note: there is a $5 parking fee if you enter the park before 5:00 PM.Plan to arrive on time—our evening adventure is timed with the sunset!

What to Bring & Know
- Dress in layers and wear closed-toe shoes—weather can change quickly.
- No pets are allowed on this program.
- There is no cell service or Wi-Fi, so plan to unplug while you're here.
- Bring water—there is no running water in the park.
- Vault toilets are available; hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Mosquitoes are common in the evening—bug repellent is highly recommended.
- If you're feeling unwell, please stay home.
