Ink-a-Dink Children's Bookstore is among the vendors slated for the 2025 Wayland Balloon Fest!

Back with more excellent children's books, free stickers, coloring and a special author appearance! Michigan author Denise Brennan-Nelson will be signing copies of her picture books, Tallulah the Mermaid of the Great Lakes and Tallulah the Mermaid and the Great Lakes Pledge, Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4-6 PM.

This exciting, family-friendly event lasts two days and benefits 4 One 2 Cares, a nonprofit created to help raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health.

With a Memorial Walk, Character Parade, Kids Carnival, Car Show, Vendor Event, Live Music, and of course--Balloon Flights and a Balloon Glow! Meet and Greet the pilots as well!

Just One Step Memorial Walk

Info: A one-mile walk held Saturday morning at 9 AM, before vendors open at 10. The Just One Step Memorial Walk commorates those we lost too soon to suicide, and funds we raise will go to support those in our community that have experienced a loss or those who may need assistance getting the care they need. We walk for those in our community who have experienced a loss, and to support those experiencing hardships themselves, friends, or family. Suicide is preventable. Registration fee covers your ticket into the Wayland Balloonfest.
