Safe Sitter for Family & Friends
About this Event
Safe Sitter is a medically-accurate course to help adults 18 years and up feel more confident in their ability to care for younger children. Topics covered include infant and child CPR, caring for a choking infant or child, injury prevention and management, behavior management, child development and child care, child care essentials and more. This class is desgined to help any new parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even college student learn essiential skills to care for a younger child.
All information is medically accurate and is taught by trained Safe Sitter instructors. During the course, participants get hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques so they are prepared to act in a crisis. Also, each participant receives a manual filled with great information and resources for the course. The class will be held at the Foundation for Wellness Classroom from 8:30 am-12:30 pm.
This class is for adults only 18 years old and up. This class is not open to any children 17 years or younger.
