About this Event

Located just west of Denver, near Bailey, Lone Rock Retreat, a nonprofit resort-style experience exclusively for use by the education community, was designed for thorough integration into its iconic Colorado landscape.

The design team was challenged to ensure every space promotes social relationship-building and guest well-being. The campus-style experience includes intimate discussion spaces, 60 individual guest cabins, a seminar lodge with specialized gathering spaces and three unique dining options, a support building that houses back-of-house functions and deliveries as well as wellness amenities with yoga, fitness and hot springs-style pools. The entire experience is further supported by open air walking paths offering stunning natural vistas that promote taking in fresh air and engaging with nature.

The design team from OZ Architecture will lead a tour facility. AIA Colorado Premier Partner IMEG Structural will speak to the mass-timber system used to create the sculptural shape of the lodge.
