Eager to learn how to impress your loved ones with Japanese style cooking? This course covers basic Japanese dishes in 3 different cooking methods from suimono (water-based), nimono (appetizer), and yakimono (grilled/fried). The course will also cover different types of ingredients, utensils, and sauces commonly used in delicious Japanese food.
Participants will be able to learn the following:
- Introduction to Japanese culinary culture, including the history, developments, cooking methods, common ingredients and other fun facts
- Mise-en-place of Japanese food preparation, with an emphasis on food preparation techniques
- Making Spinach Namuru as a Japanese Appetizer or Nimono
- Making Sukiyaki from scratch, including the sauce and broth, as well as the process and presentation of the dish
- Making Oyakodon from scratch with our Walker Enterprise academy recipe
This workshop is suitable for all, whether you are an F&B professional or a home cook, or even just a Japanese food enthusiast. It is a simple yet engaging workshop where you will be able to bring home with you the knowledge and skills you have acquired.
