LibCon: Thousand Oaks Library Pop Culture Convention
About this Event
Thousand Oaks Libraryβs ultimate pop culture convention, LibCon, returns for its third year on Saturday, August 9 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday, August 10 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Inspired by large national conventions, LibCon celebrates comics, anime, gaming, and all things fandom with a weekend packed full of activities, all free and open to the public.
Enjoy an Artist Alley, cosplay, a video game tournament, food trucks, and a wide range of engaging programs, including hands-on workshops, crafts, and featured author events. Preregister at www.tolibrary.org/libcon to receive updates and exclusive insider information.Β
Β his yearβs featured speakers are two remarkable creators who explore storytelling across genres and generations: Tananarive Due, author of the award-winning novel The Reformatory, and Kim Dwinell, author and illustrator of the Surfside Girls graphic novel series.
