Cut. Color. Paste. Contemplate: A Mixed Media Workshop
About this Event
This workshop is inspired by filmmaker and Filmshop member Patrice D. Bowman's video/photo exhibition "Artists' Ways."
The exhibit is on view at the Filmshop House (4B) until August 31; Saturdays and Sunday only, 11am - 5pm.
In this workshop, Jessica Rechner will guide attendees in exploring and expressing their interior lives via artmaking with various materials. Materials will be provided.
Cost: Free, but donations are highly appreciated; please support the artist.
About the artist: Jessica Rechner is a Queens-based visual artist working in mixed media. Her art examines and challenges concepts of body, autonomy, family, memory, and belonging. Each piece is hand-drawn and/or painted, cut from various sources, and hand-glued. She is looking forward to all the "ways" this workshop will unfold!
