About this Event

The Global Women’s Trade Caravan (GWTC) and the Afghanistan International Business Council (AIBC), in partnership with Counterpart International, Afghan-American Women Association, Afghan Women Leaders Forum, and PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS®/Enterprising Women Foundation, are pleased to announce the Second Afghan Women’s Global Business Forum, scheduled for August 12, 2025, as a one-day hybrid event.

Forum Objectives:

• Deepen understanding of the challenges Afghan businesswomen face and identify effective, scalable solutions.
• Mobilize the diaspora to support women-led businesses inside Afghanistan.
• Establish a foundational framework for a sustainable, cross-border support network for Afghan women entrepreneurs.
• Facilitate networking among Afghan women-owned businesses to enable peer support through mentorship, market access, and partnerships.

This year’s hybrid format will invite Afghan women entrepreneurs from inside Afghanistan, Europe, and beyond to participate virtually, while Afghan Americans and Afghan Canadians will join the event in person.

The first Afghan Women’s Global Business Forum was held in May 2024, convened by GWTC, AIBC, and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), in collaboration with the U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council (US-AWC) and PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS®. Since then, GWTC, AIBC, and PTB have continued their work in advocacy, capacity building, and market access initiatives, empowering Afghan women to grow their businesses and amplifying the key insights and recommendations from the inaugural event.
