About this Event

Haley Brook provides a variety of water falls, swimming holes (some deep, some shallow, all beautiful). Join queer men from all over the region for an easy hike to one of the most beautiful, hidden swimming spots in the Berkshires where we will swim, soak our feet, share a potluck picnic, perhaps share some tunes on your guitar, banjo, or drum, and just chill in a cool spot on a hot summer day. Bring your hammock if you're feelin that vibe.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Please bring $10-$20 Tax-Deductible Donation (online or as cash or check made out to "Q-MoB Inc") to support Q-MoB's year-round efforts to provide more than 20 social, recreation, & arts/culture activities every month for rural queer men in 8 rural counties in the 4 states that make up the Greater Berkshire Region
• potluck picnic foods & beverages to share with at least 6 other men
• Swimming suit if you want to swim
• your guitar, banjo, or drum if you'd like to share some music with the group
• rain-gear,
• appropriate footwear (that can get muddy & has good traction on slippery surfaces),
• snacks, water,
• consider bringing hiking poles if you may need them or to lend to someone who may need them.

WEATHER: Please check the weather in Williamstown from your home before you leave for the hike, so that you will be able bring the right clothes to deal with any last minute changes in the weather. Weather in the Berkshires can change quickly and it is always good to be prepared for rain, wind, & unexpectedly cooler or hotter temps than were forecast the day before. We will only cancel the hike if there is a forecast of a thunderstorm, and we will text you should this happen the day of the hike.

CARPOOLING/RIDE-SHARE: Carpooling is a great way to get to know other people, save money on gas, and help to reduce your carbon footprint and save the planet. If you need a ride or are open to carpooling, please indicate that when you are registering, & our ride coordinator will try to match you with people nearby who are interested in carpooling or offering rides.
