Men’s hike from Chigwell to Havering-atte-Bower
About this Event
Meeting outside Chigwell tube station at 10am for a 7 mile hike (section 20 of the London loop) with the poten option of doing 5 extra miles for the next section will decide on the day. Once we get to Havering-atte-Bower there's a bus we can get to take us back to Romford.
These hikes are supported by M2M (Millimetres2Mountains) the focus of our groups is to get more men active and more men talking about what really matters.
This section is one of the most rural sections of the whole Loop, being almost
entirely in open country, woodland or undulating farmland. The terrain is
generally level with some gentle slopes. There are two challenging stiles but
they can be avoided. The route is mostly on rough paths or tracks and on
grass; some fields may be ploughed. Paths are muddy after wet weather.
Everyone who attends our walks is responsible for themselves please make sure you drink sufficient water and food alongside suitable clothing and footwear.
