You’ll learn traditional shibori folding techniques that transform plain cotton tea towels into stunning, patterned textiles. Discover how an indigo vat is created, then immerse your folded towels and watch the magic of oxidation reveal breathtaking blues and whites in intricate designs.

The process is both meditative and deeply satisfying, connecting you to centuries of craft and creativity. Everyone leaves with two unique tea towels, and a memorable experience with a centuries-old artform.

Attendees are also welcome to bring their own small, natural fiber items (like cotton or linen) to dye, just $5 per additional piece (please, no items larger than a t-shirt).

This is a drop-in style class that typically takes 30–45 minutes to complete. Stop by anytime during the scheduled hours and get crafty. It’s the perfect creative stop while you’re enjoying the Saturday morning farmers market just down the block!
