Enjoy the Bay Area's spectacular outdoors with the Manny's Hiking Club. Explore local trails and connect with fellow nature lovers on 4-8 mile mostly moderate difficulty hikes around the Bay. Good physical fitness with the ability to hike a minimum of 5 miles that may include hilly terrain required.

Saturday, August 9: Top of the Town

Our route: Over 4 miles, we’ll hike up into Sutro Forest, on shady trails maintained jointly by Sutro Stewards and UCSF. We’ll take in panoramic views from Twin Peaks and Tank Hill and then explore Cole Valley on our return.

Meet time: 10 a.m. (Yes, earlier than previous hikes.) Arrive early to use the restroom a few minutes’ walk away.

Meet location: Kezar Stadium, 670 Kezar Dr, SF 94118. Meet at the entrance on Frederick at Willard. Convenient to the 7-Haight and N-Judah. If you’re driving, allow time for street parking or paid parking in the Kezar Stadium lot.

Details: Terrain is a mix of pavement, well-maintained trails, and several stairways. We’ll gain some elevation, but it’s gradual. The hike duration is approximately 2.5 hours. Bring water, a snack, and anything else you need. Restrooms along the route.

About Clubs @ Manny's - Manny's Clubs are discussion groups that convene once a month for 90 minutes to discuss a wide variety of topics. Led by community moderators, the groups are meant to bring together ideas and build community. Groups may exchange ideas, discuss specific works or decide to take a field trip. Actionable outcome is not required but is encouraged. Participants are asked to make a 6 month or yearly commitment. Moderators will be in direct contact with participants after subscription purchase.
