Please join us in person for our next special guest speaker! We are hosting Jonee Peters, Executive Director for the Conservation Council for Hawaii. The Conservation Council for Hawaii is the watchdog organization dedicated to protecting native Hawaiian plants, animals and ecosystems for future generations. Their work involves coalition building and advocacy for effective policies, management and legislation. She will be discussing the impact and the efforts to fight the recent Presidential Proclamation allowing industrial fishing within the boundaries of the Pacific Islands Heritage National Monument (PIHMNM) and other important proposed changes that will affect our Hawaiian waters and lands.
