About this Event

Piloted in 2021, "WELLderness: An Outdoor Wellness Series" was developed to bring members of the community together (in person and online) to engage in activities that would have a positive impact on their physical and mental health and well-being. Throughout the year, people have the opportunity to participate in FREE events that center around fostering better connections to self and the environment.

About the Instructor

The workshop facilitator, Emma Kienzle, is a clinical intern at The FL Wolters Group who is pursuing a Master's degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She leads this workshop with warmth and intention, helping participants reduce self-criticism and deepen self-compassion.

What you will be doing

This free outdoor workshop, held at the beautiful Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, focuses on practical strategies to integrate more self-compassion into your life. We'll explore what self-compassion truly means, identify common barriers to self-kindness, and discover how it can positively impact your motivation, body image, and relationships. Through an engaging discussion and an interactive journaling activity, you'll gain valuable tools to cultivate a more compassionate inner voice and foster lasting well-being.
