About this Event

Welcome to the Legal Applications and Structure Fire Investigations event! Join us at the Jones Fire Department on Sunday September 21st at 8am, for an engaging session on Legal Applications and Structure Fire Investigations Involving First Responders and Law Enforcement. This class, led by Chief Agent Judah Sheppard, a fire investigator with the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal’s Office, will cover essential topics related to fire scene management and investigations.

Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of Fire Chiefs and Incident Command in scene entry, security, and investigation requests. The course will also cover scene security protocols, assessment observations, witness statement collection, and the requirements for firefighters in providing statements and relevant information to State Fire Marshal Investigators responding to the scene.

This training is ideal for fire and law enforcement personnel involved in fire investigations and incident command.





This class has been cataloged by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training for 8 hours of mandatory continuing education credit.
