Art, Wine & Mischief: A Night with Wildfruit Projects at Monstera
About this Event
On July 31st, Monstera is flipping the script. No velvet ropes. No white walls. Just us, a bunch of radical artists, some damn good drinks, and a room full of people who give a shit.
We’re partnering with Wildfruit Projects—a queer-led art gallery and community space pushing the culture forward in Dogtown—to turn Monstera into a one-night-only pop-up exhibition. Think mezcaleria-meets-micro-museum. Expect work from artists Janie Stamm, Neeka Allsup, and Kentaro Kumanomido—each telling bold, boundary-breaking stories through embroidery, oil paint, sculpture, and symbolism that’s as juicy as it is honest.
Every piece is for sale—prints, originals, zines, who knows what else—so you can support these artists directly. It’s not just a show. It’s a way to feed the community: creatively, economically, and emotionally.
We’ll be pouring a special, limited-run wine by the glass for the night, with 100% of those profits going to the MICA Project, a local organization that provides legal support to immigrant families across St. Louis. So every sip means something.
And of course, cocktails will be flowing—bold, weird, and mezcal-soaked like always.
This is about lifting up local voices, building connections, and throwing a damn good party while we do it. Show up, drink something, buy something, talk to a stranger, take home a piece of someone’s story.
Just art, drinks, and a little bit of beautiful chaos.
