About this Class: It’s time to celebrate Gelato Fest! In this class, you’ll observe as our Scuola Chef makes traditional gelato al pistacchio, talks you through the unique differences between gelato and ice cream, teaches you the best methods to get high-quality gelato without an ice cream maker, and lets you taste a few of Eataly’s signature gelato flavors.  

  

About this Dish: While people often think gelato is simply Italian ice cream, there are distinct differences between the two. Gelato is mixed more slowly and has a lower fat percentage, making it denser, creamier, and richer in flavor. This decadent sweet treat is perfect any time of year or time of day.  

  

In this Hands-On Class You Will:  

  • Learn about the traditions and methods of gelato 
  • Observe as our Scuola Chef teaches the group how to make gelato using multiple methods 
  • Enjoy traditional gelato al pistacchio to savor the flavours of summer

  • One ticket purchase is valid for one guest  
  • Seating is first-come, first-served  
  • Allergens can be accommodated with prior notice 
  • Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes  
  • Classes are also suitable for children 8+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. 15 and under must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
