Learn all about harmful non-native species and how to remove them with Little Forks Conservancy and the CM-CISMA!

About this Event

This guided hike and informational workshop is a free event that aims to educate participants on identifying and effectively treating invasive species in their own yards. Led by Little Forks Conservnacy and the local Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) , the event includes a hike of the Conservancy's Forestview Natural Area property. Attendees will gain hands-on knowledge and resources to remove non-native species from the environment successfully, while learning about how their local CISMAs can assist them. Attendees should dress accordingly for the weather and hiking outdoors on rustic dirt and grass trails.

Presenters will include CISMA coordinators for the Central Michigan CISMA (CM-CISMA) serving Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella and Midland counties and staff from the Little Forks Conservancy.

This event will be held on August 12th from 6 to 7:30 PM at Forestview Natural Area.

Parking & Directions: Forestview Natural Area is located on Tittabawassee River Road, off of N Saginaw Road at 859 Tittabawassee River Road, Midland MI. Tittabawassee River Road is about 2 miles down the road from Midland Brewing Company, on the left. Once on Tittabawassee River Road from Saginaw, the preserve's parking lot will be located less than a quarter mile down the road - on the right handside.
