Are you ready to rumble? Author Phaea Crede and illustrator Jen Hill are coming for their punny and action-packed new book, Princess Battle Royale! When popular fairy tale characters compete in a Mixed Magical Arts tournament, one towel girl enters the ring to take on the undefeated champion, the Swan Princess. Can she be the hero these princesses need? Phaea and Jen will read from their book, lead a drawing demo, answer questions, and sign copies.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

In this action-packed picture book, the fairytale princesses compete in an epic MMA (that's mixed magical arts) tournament and try to defeat the reigning champion, the Swan Princess!

Welcome, ladies and gents to the WPW: World Princess Wrestling! Princesses from all over the globe will battle for a chance to be crowned victor and wear the Enchanted Championship Belt. But first, they have to defeat the reigning champ: the baddest bird of the ballet--Swan Princess!

Rapunzel the Reaper is up first, but her signature Hair Whiplash is defeated by the Swan Princess' Plie Driver! Next up, we have the Little Mermaid, but she finds herself in her own tail J*il. Sleeping Beauty gives it a go and is put in a sleeper hold.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR:

Phaea Crede writes silly picture books for silly kids. Serious kids, too! She is the author of Oh Deer! (Sleeping Bear Press, 2025), Stitch Crashes Disney (Disney Press, 2023), Super Pizza & Kid Kale (Viking Books, 2022), Jet the Cat (Is Not a Cat) (Barefoot Books, 2021), and other stories about lovable oddballs. Her favorite pro-wrestling move is the moonsault. Phaea lives outside of Boston with her family.

Jen Hill is the illustrator of numerous picture books including the New York Times bestseller Be Kind (Roaring Brook Press, 2018). To train for illustrating Princess Battle Royale, she has been weightlifting, figure skating, and composing rock songs about her cat. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
