Ministerial Order 292 expanded the scope of practice for every level of Emergency Medical Assistants (FR, EMR and Paramedics) in the province of BC. As a result, license holders at all levels immediately had restrictions placed on their licenses, preventing them from using the expanded scope until first receiving training in the Emergency Medical Assistants Registry System to reflect the current legal scope of practice with revised letters of licensure sent shortly thereafter.

An Emergency Medical Assistant cannot practice to the new scope until they have met certain requirements as reflected in the Ministerial Order.

The date to provide evidence has been extended to September 2025.

Participants in this session must be certified in First Reponder, Emergency Medical Responder or higher.
