Boy Meets Pearl and Emmett Williams at the Shipyard
About this Event
Boy Meets Pearl and Emmett Williams at the Shipyard
Come join us under the stars and carnival lights of the Shipyard with carousel punk cabaret artists and troubadour
Boy Meets Pearl are queer-fronted and oddly orchestrated with a sound like a carnival midway these carousel punks play new songs inspired by sea shanties, circus waltzes and Victorian Music Hall singalongs of yore (your dreams that is ...)!
Emmett’s songs take music and put it on the frontline struggle for justice. His voice is raw and true and rings with the sincerity of someone who’s been there.
The Shipyard is a DIY venue in Silver Spring with a donation door. Donations are split between the artists and Abodes Joy a MD-based nonprofit that trains and empowers diverse learners – women, nonbinary folx, and transgender people – in home repair to build skills, confidence, and community.
