Clinically Effective Interventions with Law Enforcement
About this Event
The stigma in law enforcement culture associated with seeking therapeutic help is a well-known barrier but even when an officer finds themselves in front of a clinician, many officers experience mental health providers who are unprepared to work through the years of trauma and maladaptive coping that is often a result of the job. This workshop will help clinicians gain a better understanding and an applicable working knowledge of law enforcement culture. Providing clinicians with a better understanding of the law enforcement experience and equipping them with the right tools can help to overcome existing barriers and enhance access to effective, culturally competent mental health care for officers.
Join Brian Flynn, LCSW, MA, CCISM for this in-person session to enhance your clinical practice and prepare yourself to provide necessary and life-saving care in our community. This workshop will provide 3 CEU credits for LMSWs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and LMHCs.
