⚡ As Australia’s electricity grid increasingly integrates inverter-based resources (IBRs), the strategic placement of grid assets is critical for maintaining system stability and operational efficiency. However, traditional asset placement studies are often limited by the time and labor required to manually reconfigure large-scale models across multiple scenarios.

💡 This session introduces an efficient and scalable workflow using Simulink and Simscape Electrical that eliminates repetitive remodeling. By combining vectorised modeling, parallel computing, and programmatic model building, this approach enables rapid scenario generation and high-throughput simulations without altering model architecture.

Presenter: Dr. Muhammad Ali is an Application Engineer at MathWorks with a background in renewable energy integration, battery management systems, and microgrids. He holds a PhD from UNSW Australia and has worked on inverter control strategies in collaboration with AEMO under an ARENA-funded project. 🎓
