The City of Compton invites you and your family to celebrate the upcoming school year with an unforgettable day of fun, community, and giveaways. This is more than just a backpack drive—it’s a full day of activities, entertainment, and resources designed to get our kids excited and prepared for school!

Schedule:

K–12th grade : 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Event Highlights:

Backpack Giveaway – Each student will choose their own backpack and fill it with essential school supplies.

Tablet Raffle – Registered students will put in the raffle to recieve tablets to help kick off the school year!

Special Celebrity Guests – Appearances by DeMar DeRozan and Jason “Problem” Martin.

Live Music & Great Food – Enjoy performances, DJs, and delicious food vendors throughout the day.

Clothing & Hygiene Products – Free resources for students and families.

Custom Sneaker Design Station – Get creative and design your own sneaker art.

Games & Activities – Fun for all ages to enjoy together.

Haircuts for Boys: Please have your hair washed! Check-in for haircuts is during the first hour.
