SUP Queers - Group Paddle
Come join us for a fun and inclusive paddle meet up at Shade's Mills Conservation Area!
Bring your SUP, kayak, or canoe and PFD (life jacket) - or bring cash and ID to rent a water craft and life jacket at Serene Watersports in the park - as well as your towel, suncreen, water bottle, and water shoes!
There is a $9 entry fee to enter the conservation area. If this fee is a barrier, please contact us. Organizers hold GRCA passes and can carpool a limited number of attendees.
Meet at 11AM at the boat launch in Shade's Mills Conservation Area. Expect us to take half an hour to inflate iSUPs and for folks to get rentals. Then we’ll spend up to two hours in the water!
We have one loaner board available at no cost for a person for whom renting would be a financial barrier. Please only register for this if you are certain you will be attending AND if renting a board would cause financial strain. This is a judgement-free resource based on the honour system. You know your situation best. If you've indicated this option and you can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP so we can offer the board to another member of our community.
Friendly, non-reactive dogs welcome.
