Create a 3-dimensional based circular mandala using hand-foraged natural desert plant materials in this 4-hour class.

The Mother Earth Mandala workshop is a 4-hour class with a short introduction to the art of Mandala making explaining the benefits Mandalas bring to centering and balancing one’s state of mind. This workshop will also connect the student with natural elements of the Earth by using the deserts finest dried plant materials for the Mandala “art supplies”. The students will be placing the natural art supplies in a balanced symmetrical circle or Mandala and gluing the pieces to wooden canvases, taking home their own Mother Earth Mandala creation.

Julia will be supplying the natural wooden canvases and her own personal collection of hand-foraged natural art supplies to use in this workshop. Students are encouraged to bring their own natural art supplies, if any, for their creations. Students are also encouraged to bring an apron, mask and/or gloves for protection while using glue for this project.

Students should bring: We will be using glues so you may want to bring an apron for protection of clothing or wear appropriate clothing. Students are encouraged to bring their own natural art supplies.

Supplies provided by artist: Sample works of art provided for visual guidance, wooden canvases, Julia’s collection of all natural art supplies, gathering plates/bowls, scissors, tweezers, paper towels, glues, wall hangers, masks and gloves for protection.
