Travel Tumbler Ceramic Workshop at Lazy Goods with Adriana Lemus!

Join us for a beginner clay workshop at Lazy Goods in Morro Bay! We will be making a ceramic travel tumbler!

Join us for a beginner clay workshop at the Lazy Goods shop in Morro Bay! We will be making a Ceramic Travel Tumbler! You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method and decorating by painting with underglazes. Adriana Lemus from Night Owl Pottery will guide you through this two-hour intro to clay workshop, Lazy Goods will provide you with light bites and bevys!

The $75 fee includes white stoneware clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, two hours of instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, light bites AND a glass of wine! Once your pottery is created, you will leave it with the instructor, where she will take it back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-6 weeks. When complete, your pottery will be brought back to Lazy Goods to be picked up.

Adriana Lemus was born and raised on the Central Coast and has been working with ceramics for 17 years. She studied art at UC Berkeley and has been running her own business for the past 8 years. Adriana creates functional and non-functional ceramic vessels that are made to connect with the soul. Adriana teaches private throwing lessons in her backyard studio, sells her work at local Makers Markets, online, and is currently working on commission work for restaurants, hotels, spas, and homes.

Handmade using precious metals and incorporating natural and one-of-a-kind gemstones, Lazy Goods jewelry is made by Naomi Holmes at her home studio on the central coast of California. Lazy Goods continues to grow to include quality curated vintage, homewares and locally handcrafted goods.
