Least Tern Preserve Restoration
About this Event
Join OC Habitats at the Least Tern Preserve at Huntington State Beach where we’ll be removing invasive and introduced plant species from the preserve boundaries to prevent encroachment to a habitat that supports two endangered and threatened species: the California Least Tern (Sterna antillarum browni) and the Western Snowy Plover (Charadrius nivosus nivosus). This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the coastal dune ecosystems, native species, and wildlife conservation - all while making a direct impact in supporting the recovery of endangered and threatened species!
