Join us for an engaging public talk featuring three artists whose work is either inspired by or touches on the beauty and ecological significance of salt marshes. Through informal conversations with each other about their respective work and interest in the marshes, the artists will discuss their methods, the materials used, the interplay between art and conservation, and how the delicate ecosystems of coastal salt marshes inform their art.

Attendees can also learn about the vital role that salt marshes play in our environment, from supporting biodiversity to protecting coastal habitats. This talk promises to be an enriching experience for art lovers, environmental enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the intersection of nature and artmaking.

All three participating artists have been awarded grants through the Kathleen Van Demark Fund for the Great Marsh overseen by the Manship Artists Residency with support from Artists for the Great Marsh.
