Composition – Finding Inspiration in Nature (2/4)
About this Event
Composition – Finding Inspiration in Nature, is the second workshop in this four-part series. Designed to provide young creatives with a solid art foundation. This workshop is suitable for beginners, while also being comprehensive enough for experienced young artists.
Join Xanthe Turner and Harlow Paton for an afternoon of outdoor sketching, with a focus on plein air composition. Through a guided nature walk and a series of targeted sketching challenges, you will learn:
- How to identify suitable locations for plein air art
- How to efficiently block in ephemeral scene elements
- How to effectively emphasise elements of visual significance
Please bring a hat and a bottle of water. All art materials will be supplied by the facilitators!
Participation in all four workshops is not required, but it is strongly encouraged!
These workshops have been made possible by funding from the Next Gen Arts Grant. Next Gen Arts is part of the Regional Arts and Culture Investment Program, delivered by the Department of Cultural Industries, Tourism and Sport, with funding from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. Thank you for the support!
