Stone Strategies: A local, sustainable product for a circular economy.
About this Event
Join us as we explore the possibilities of stone as a natural resource for sustainable construction.
Hear from a range of speakers on topics including:
- How geology can dictate the design and style of construction
- The retrofit of existing stone buildings with natural products
- Future possibilities in stone construction.
You will also have the chance to view a specially designed stone wall prototype in the Manor House Walled Garden throughout the weekend. The exhibition features stone sourced from across Northern Ireland, cut and arranged in a dry stone format, showcasing how traditional knowledge and contemporary design can come together to craft sustainable solutions.
Sandwiches and refreshments will be served in the Manor House.
Future Island-Island Design Fellowship project in collaboration with S McConnell & Sons.
