A Self-care Group for Refugees and Immigrants for Inner Light & Renewal

About this Event

You’re warmly invited to Embracing the Sun Within, a heartfelt self-care gathering open to everyone seeking connection, inspiration, and inner renewal.

As the sun reaches its peak, we gather to reconnect with our own light — through creativity, movement, reflection, and ritual. Together, we’ll slow down, listen inward, and nurture our well-being in community.

This group experience includes:

Intention setting to align with your personal season

Guided journaling for self-reflection and clarity

Vision board creation to connect with your intentions

Gentle movement to awaken your inner energy

A closing simple ritual to honor what is being cultivated within

Come as you are — no prior experience needed. This is a welcoming space for all BIPOC, immigrant and refugee communities.

Facilitator: Georgia Young - Native to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Georgia Young has graduated in Psychology, and has training in art therapy, art education, energy healing, ancestral practices and somatic therapy. Georgia moved to California in 2013 and after going through her own challenges as an immigrant she decided to go back to the healing arts to provide support to other individuals, and immigrant communities. She got certified in Hakomi professional Training I and Hakomi Somatic Coaching. She is passionate about witnessing people remembering, reconnecting and reclaiming their inner wisdom, personal power and authenticity. Georgia’s approach is guided by loving presence, non-judgement, compassion and the trust that as organic beings, humans and communities are inherently able to self-correct and to heal if they are held by a supportive and loving person and/or environment.

Let’s gather in warmth, presence, and shared intention — to remember that even in difficult times the sun lives within us, and together we can thrive and rise.

With care,

Georgia Young
