Hickoids embark on 5,000 mile “Sasquatch Stroll” of Western US mid-August

Texas-based cowpunk legends the Hickoids begin a fourteen night run of shows August 13th in Santa Fe

that will seem them hit venues in Southern California, the Bay Area, the Pacific Northwest (including a

headlining slot at the Seattle garage-fest Bigfoot Stomp) and the upper Rockies.

Much like their fabled cryptozoological kin, known alternately as “Bigfoot”, “Sasquatch” and “Yeti”, the all-

too-real Hickoids walk upright, display many other human characteristics and are known for an outsized

affinity for corn and neon light. Hickoids are not nearly as shy as their cousins with verifiable sightings

across the United States, Canada and Western Europe in both urban and rural settings over the past four

decades. It began one night in 1984 with an opening slot for Black Flag and Meat Puppets in San

Antonio, Texas and continues to this day at punk clubs, roadhouses, honky tonks and festivals across the

planet
