Each month, a community group creates a unique experience for everyone to enjoy, centered around a fun holiday theme.
Get ready to soar into history and hands-on fun this National Aviation Day!
Join us at House of Shine as we celebrate the wonder of flight and the spirit of exploration that aviation inspires. Participants will dive into the history of travel and aircraft through engaging activities, stories, and exploration.
Then, it's time to take creativity to the skies as we:
- Build and decorate balsa wood planes
- Race them for distance and style awards
- Learn fun facts about aviation and the pioneers who made flight possible
- Possibly hear from a special guest from DFW Airport about what it takes to keep the world flying
This Yay Day is perfect for kids (ages 6+) and families who love to create, learn, and explore. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or simply curious about how things fly, you’ll leave with new knowledge and a plane that’s ready for its next adventure.
