Decorate Coasters with Sublimation
About this Event
In this two-hour workshop, we’ll learn how to use our sublimation equipment to create a customized set of four coasters with full-color decoration! We’ll start by discussing sublimation printing and transfer - how it works, what it’s good for, and what the limitations are - before walking through the safety and operation of our sublimation printer and heat press. We’ll then use a template to design, print, and transfer personalized decorations to a set of neoprene or hardboard coasters (your choice) that participants take home to protect their furniture from summer drinks or give as a gift. We don't have any photos of coasters (yet), but see below for some other sublimation-printed items we made!
After this workshop, attendees should be able to create decorated or personalized items using our sublimation equipment. With a different template and design, the same techniques can be extended to many other items: flags, mousepads, license plate frames, earrings, and more!
