Our breath is the bridge between our body and our mind.

It is the easiest way to recalibrate when we feel out of sorts, nervous, stressed, anxious, frustrated, exhausted, and aaaalll the things. 😎

Just breath.

Yet, most people's breath is habitual, it reacts without direction, just following the busy mind and ever-changing emotions.

We forget to breath.

No one ever explained how this thing you do every day actually works in a simple, clear and practical way.

Fall in love with your breath.

When you realize how easy it is to recalibrate your experience in daily life using simple breath practices throughout your day, you will fall in in love with breath work as Josh and I have.

This evening's Better By Breath class will begin with what we call, "preparing the instrument".

We will go through a series of preparatory breath practices that open the sinuses, clear the lungs and engage the diaphragm.

It feels amazing and you will want to do this every day once you experience it. πŸ’•

Then, we will begin a sequence of seated breath work that balances the solar and lunar energy channels, this brings stability and ease to the mind.

The class will gently move through practices that calm and restore the nervous system, ending in a reclining position to do a relaxing evening practice that expands the breath to the bottom of the lungs, increasing the exchange rate of gases in the system which purifies your body and destresses your mind.

We will end with a guided nervous system reset.

Everything you learn will be yours to practice at home so you can restore and balance your system when needed.

After the class it is recommend you shower to remove anything that is released through the skin, and for extra restoration, apply a clean oil like almond, avocado or sesame to the skin to continue soothing and rebooting the nervous system while you rest deeply.

Your body and mind will be primed for a restorative sleep, some will find they sleep heavy and deep, others feel they need less sleep.

Since this is a reset, your system will naturally do what is needed. πŸ’•


***Please bring a mat, any pillows you like to sit or support you, and any other props you like. Chairs will be available for those that prefer to do the practices seated.
